Loneliness While Traveling
A few days ago I loaded up my Toyota, Camry and traveled north to Santa Barbara, California where I frequent a beach café, there I met a wonderful food server. I ordered the trip tip sandwich with pico, and requested some BBQ sauce the waitress went the extra mile by exiting the food stand and retrieving some BBQ sauce from the adjacent restaurant. When she returned she printed the check and I asked her how to tip her. There was no tip line on the credit card receipt. She said just write the tip amount on the check and I did. I sat at the tables next to the café and pier and became a bit thirsty, and decided to order some Budweiser suds. I sat there thinking how lonely I was, constantly traveling places by myself capturing the moment with my camera. Travel can be both exciting and lonely. Perhaps I will return to capture seabirds nesting nearby the café.
