Loneliness While Traveling
A few days ago I loaded up my Toyota, Camry and traveled north to Santa Barbara, California where I frequent a beach café. I met a wonderful food server and I ordered a trip tip sandwich with pico, and requested some BBQ sauce to go along with it. The waitress went the extra mile she exited the food stand and retrieved some BBQ sauce from the adjacent restaurant. When she returned she printed the check and I asked her how to tip her. There was no tip line on the credit card receipt. She said just write the tip amount on the check and I did. I sat at one of the tables next to the café and the pier and became a bit thirsty, so I decided to order some Budweiser suds. I took a seat there thinking how lonely I was, constantly traveling places by myself capturing the moment with my camera. Travel can be both exciting and lonely. Perhaps I will return to capture seabirds nesting nearby the café.
